great value
For the money this is a great choice. I have about 400 rounds through it on my Gen 2 Glock 22 and have not had any issues. Lets see how it holds up.

Vortex Venom is worth every penny!
I have been using the Venom now for a few months on my Walthers Q5 steel frame 9mm and really like it. I had heard people say it takes some getting used to a red dot after using iron sights for years. It’s true but not a huge change and after shooting with it my accuracy has improved greatly. Built very well although I don’t ever throw my guns or equipment around I believe this would take a lot of abuse. All I can say is with that Walthers and Venom together are one deadly combination!!! I would not hesitate to buy another and very well might for my .45 Kimber.

Buy it 👌
I like this red dot. I have it mounted on my 300 blackout pistol and run it in comps. It did get smudged at some point and I can't get it off. But still a great red dot.

Well built
I just received my Vortex Venom Red dot with the 3 MOA dot. I have a Vortex Viper to compare it too. The Venom seems to be built better. There is also a nice screw driver included for adjusting the sight and accessing the battery compartment which is on top of the Venom while the Viper must be removed from the mount to replace the batter. The Venom uses a different battery than does the Viper 1632 v 2032. The 2032 battery is much more common than is the 2032. Another difference that I observed was that the mount for the Venom uses a thumb screw while the Viper uses a Torx screw.
