would this be a good sight system for 308/6.5 cm?

BEST ANSWER: If you have 20-13 vision out to MER of a 308 or 6.5 Creedmore. My advice would be to get a VORTEC STRIKE EAGLE 1-8x24. I wouldn't buy 1-6x24 STRIKE EAGLE for the 308 or 6.5 CM. It's a 1/2 MOA adjustment per click is the only really down side to the scope.
The glass is very clear in the STRIKE EAGLE. The ret is illuminated and has BDC (Bullet Drop Compensator) for both 308 and 5.56x45 NATO. You can get the STRIKE EAGLE and a cantilever mount for here at PSA. I have one on my SIG M400 5,56 NATO I let my spotter use. I also use it as a DMR because of the 1 power it works for up close 'social situations. And the 8 power should get you very close, if not the MER of the 308 which is about 800-1000 Depending on ammo bbl length etc.. I'm not familiar with CM ballistics, but I bet it would reach out to 1000yds if your eyes are still pretty good.
