The PSA AK-P GF3 is designed from the ground up to be a new standard in AK-47 pistols, utilizing all new precision manufactured parts.  Thoroughly tested in development, we tortured tested to 10,000 rounds to ensure a quality product.  Not to be satisfied with just a good AK-47, we kept improving and now are proud to announce our PSA AK-P Gen3 Hammer Forged (GF3) pistol with a hammer forged bolt, carrier, and front trunnion.

The 4150 barrel is nitride treated for accuracy and durability and is pressed into a new hammer forged front trunnion to ensure the longevity AK-47s are known for.  The hardened steel 1mm receiver features a mil-spec style single hook trigger, and side rail mount.  The front trunnion and bolt carrier are engraved with GF3 to designate the GF3 hammer forged model.  The pistol is finished with a Magpul polymer handguard, SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Brace, and Magpul AK-47 polymer grip; Pistol ships with 30 round Magpul magazine (where allowed by law).

Picatinny Top Railed, Hinged Dust Cover

The top Picatinny railed dust cover was designed so most common low mount red dot optics will co-witness with the front and rear sight. High mount red dot optics will not co-witness with the AK-P sights. Please see pictures below: (Optics shown on pictures is for references only; not included).  The Picatinny dust cover has a flare on the right side designed to stop the safety selector from riding above the dust cover.

M4 Stock Adapter With SBA3 Adjustable Brace (Included With This Model)

The included M4 adapter with SBA3 can be removed and replaced with the soon to be released triangle side folding brace and mounting mechanism. They are designed to be interchangeable. We will be selling the M4 with SBA3 assembly and the Triangle with mounting device separately to be used on other firearms in the coming months. We will have the triangle side-folder brace/ mounting mechanism model in about 2-3 months.

What is the difference between this and the KS 47 pistol?
MR GUN PLAY on Feb 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If you haven’t done the tiniest bit of reading or even of watching a video to figure that question out it’s unlikely that either the AK-P or the KS47 are ‘your speed.’ Reading is actually a super power, it transforms unknowledgeable people into slightly more knowledgeable selves.

Why is this gun no longer available to Michigan residents?
DillGree94 on Mar 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have the same question. Why has'nt anyone answered yet? To my knowledge Michigan has not changed their laws regarding the use of pistol braces as long as it conforms to ATF rules. Am I missing something? If so, please educate me.
Why not Michigan?
Shawn F on Apr 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: PSA needs to check with the Michigan State Police. These would be legal in Michigan if they wanted to sell to us. It's easy enough to get an answer.

Would this work ok with a 4-piece flash hider?
Descenter on Feb 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If your muzzle device uses the same thread size as described in the description, then it would fit. The real problem would be if it cycles. In the 2 minute video that you haven’t watched, they explain how they put that muzzle break on there for added pressure to ensure the weapon cycles.

Just got mine and pulled off the krink brake. It seems the threads are on the gas block? Not the barrel? Just wondering as I was thinking about doing a form 1 suppressor but idk about putting a suppressor on a gas block...

Just one problem
The only problem I’m seeing is that I’m going to have to move the front sight way right to zero the iron sights. So far that I have to wonder if the front sight block is straight. Considering contacting PSA about it. Otherwise it’s an awesome AK function is great. I have a red dot on it and it’s great using those but the irons aren’t even close to right from the factory on mine.
I added a Zhukov folder with a strong arm brace adapter, magpul k2 ak grip and a warfighter Comp

Great AK, needs minor work.
I love this AK more than anything (when it works). The finish is great, and the Magpul furniture is very comfortable. Much less recoil than other AK's I've shot.

However, I'm having ejection issues. About every 10 rounds a spent casing gets between by the bolt. While most rounds shoot out to the 1 o'clock, some will "fall" out towards the 3 o'clock. Hopefully a new bolt stem will fix it ($50). This thing is a blast to shoot.

Love the craftsmanship on it. I’m glad I bought the all black version when I had the chance.
So far I’m really liking it. Finish is really nice and has a heavy feel to it which I like. The dust cover opens and closes easily . I placed my order on may 10th and it shipped may 15th and just picked it up from my ffl on May 21st to give you my experience on the whole thing. It came with 1 Magpul mag which fits nicely with no wobble! Can’t wait to go out and shoot it.

Almost Perfect
I found only one issue with the PSA AK-P GF3 MOE SBA3 Pistol.

The safety lever was bowed out (but it did work) - you could clearly see a gap between the safety lever and the receiver. If I had to guess ...This looks like someone was trying to compensate for a loose working safety lever. A proper AK lever should lay flat against the receiver. I replaced your safety lever with one from a arsenal sgl-21. Not only was there no more gap - but the tension on the safety lever was perfect and it worked 100 percent.

Everything else on this gun was outstanding as far as visual inspection.

Have yet to fire it - but I do not think there will be any problems there from what I have seen so far - at least not visibly.

Minor issue
I ran 60 rounds through it without any issues however when I field stripped to clean the gas to tube latch would not lock down no matter how hard I tried. Sent it back to PSA about 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything back yet, but I know they will take care of it. Seems like a minor problem but obviously I’d rather of had it resolved before it even left the factory.

Very good so far.
I hit 1,000 rounds down the barrel this morning. I have not had a single issue so far. I sighted it in at 50 yards with a sig romeo 5 red dot, and my 5 shot groups were all under an inch. That is shooting the cheapest wolf steel case ammo I could find.

I also added the ALG trigger which was a very easy "drop in" process. I am loving it so far and cant wait to put more ammo through it.

much better than the ak rifle
after the blatant lack of quality controls on the ak rifle, I told myself i'll never buy another psa firearm again

caught this on sell and bought before it became forever "temporarily out of stock"

psa totally redeemed themselves with this beauty. range time, field strip, and reassembly offered no failures or problems.

solid offering by psa...for now

Not a good start
Recived my Psak-p a few days ago. After inspecting it I noticed a few spots around the magwell where some finish was wearing off. Not a huge deal for me as it’s a budget AK and I expect things like this. However, first trip to the range the pistol would fire two rounds and the trigger would fail to reset. Called customer service and they were extremely helpful and it’s on its way back to PSA for service. I will update My review when I get it back from PSA.

I'd buy another!
I can't speak for the life of the gun obviously but after 200 rounds it ran flawless on Tula and Barnaul ammo. The recoil is less than other AKs I've handled. The Magpul mag fed perfect as well as my older Xtech mag. The trigger is lighter than I expected. Mounted a cheap scope to the dust cover rail just to get out and shoot and I was very impressed at how sturdy it was. Shoots a good sized fireball too. If you can get your hands on one I would definitely recommend doing so. It's probably my new favorite gun but I say that about every new gun I get lol 2 thumbs up PSA
